Geocache Description:

Swe. Här har jag haft både glädje och sorg.

Kyrkan är från 1150-talet.

På den västra sidan om vapenhuset finns en runsten inmurad. U 433.

O.B.S. Ligger inte i muren.

Varning för brännässlor på sommaren.

Eng. This is another of many mideaval churches in northen Uppland. If you go to the west side of the building you can se a runestone built into the wall.
Most runestones are christian and was erected by a household to show that the household was christian. When the christian religion had set it´s root in Sweden, it wanted to destroy all "barbarian" beliefs, so churches where often built on the ungodly grounds that used to be the ritual places where the old ceremonies took place. They also used many runestones as a building material.
