One Hundred SixtyThird in the Famous People (FP) Series - Rick Moranis
Frederick Alan "Rick" Moranis
(born April 18, 1953) is a Canadian actor, comedian and musician best known for his roles in several Hollywood films including Ghostbusters; Little Shop of Horrors; Honey, I Shrunk the Kids; Spaceballs; and My Blue Heaven.

Rick Moranis may best be remembered as an actor on the television show SCTV where he enjoyed great success portraying "Bob" of Bob and Doug McKenzie. He is also remembered for the characters Skip Bittman, video deejay Gerry Todd and Leutonian pop star Linsk Minyk.

One of his more notable roles has been in the series of movies that began with Honey I Shrunk the Kids in 1989. Several sequels emerged from this role including Honey, I Blew Up the Kid (1992); Honey, I Shrunk the Audience (1995); and Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves (1997).

In the original movie, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Moranis plays "nutty" inventor Wayne Szalinski who perfects a machine capable of shrinking objects down to a hundredth of their size. When his son, daughter and the neighbors' two sons enter the room in which the shrinking machine is located in order to retrieve a lost baseball, they find it has been triggered by the ball and take the full brunt of the shrinking ray. They spend the rest of the movie trying to get back to the house after accidentally being taken out with the trash.

Rick Moranis: (About making movies) I pulled out of making movies in about '96 or '97. I'm a single parent and I just found that it was too difficult to manage raising my kids and doing the traveling involved in making movies. So I took a little bit of a break. And the little bit of a break turned into a longer break, and then I found that I really didn't miss it.

The cache is located in Ablon Park. You are looking for a small ammo can in the woods. This area is prone to flooding during heavy rains and can be quite muddy. Also, due to the likelyhood of flooding, please take care to replace all the sticks that are used to help hold this ammo can in place. It's not tethered, so it needs those sticks to help keep it in place. It's really hidden quite well. We let the coordinates average for probably a good 10 minutes and the accuracy was down to around 4' by the time we were done. As always, be sure to BYO and by all means, trust your GPSr.
