Ever heard of Schallenberger Ridge? If you've ever been to Truckee, you've probably seen it to the south of Donner Lake. You could just climb up from Truckee, but that's too easy. Start at Donner Summit, head up and over near Mt. Judah, and then up Schallenberger. Could be a good mountain bike trip once the snow is out.
