Come join in the 2008 Spring Kincaid Park CITO Cleanup – Chalet Event.
Meet at Noon Saturday, April 19th at the Kincaid Park Chalet. We will have two hours to help clear this side of Kincaid Park of much of the debris that has collected in the area. With the snow receding quickly the ground should be clear and all of what has been hidden all winter will be visible and easy to clean up.
CITO (Cache In, Trash Out) is an important part of geocaching. To learn more about CITO come to the event or visit www.cacheintrashout.org
Bring your enthusiasm and willingness to pitch in and help clean up one of Anchorage's beautiful Parks. Garbage bags and gloves will be provided. If you have a favorite pair of work gloves bring them along. Feel welcome to bring along shovels, grabbers and anything else that may aid in picking up trash off of the trails.
Don't forget to dress for the weather. The breeze from the Inlet can be chilly at times.
There will be prizes for some lucky participants.
Please add a note that you will attend if you are planning on being there for this event. This will help us coordinate with the Department of Parks & Recreation and ensure we have enough garbage bags and gloves for all volunteers.
Come join us in cleaning up the park and then feel free to join your fellow geocachers and work on cleaning out the park. I'll see you at the CITO Event.
