Geocache Description:

He used the tunnel!

Hidden with permission from the mayor of Chester, this interesting location in Chester under state highway 206, at one time provided safe passage for local livestock. This was a better alternative for crossing this busy highway for those bovine not adept at the game of Frogger. Based on the marking on the west side of the higway, this tunnel was constructed in 1929.

The walk from suggested parking is about .5 miles and involves a bushwhack, a stream crossing, navigating around a water retention basin (suggested route) and some elevation changes. We had 3 kids with us for this hide - 4, 7 and 9. Not sure how the brush will grow in during the summer. An obvious trail will take you about half the way there, then you are on your own. You might get wet feet.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON OR CROSS "OVER" ROUTE 206!! THIS IS NOT SAFE!!! The suggested parking will keep you safe and on public property. There may be other safe ways to get there, but please stick with these suggestions.
