Cache situado en la montaña Cabeço D'or a 1207 mtrs de altitud y una distancia ida y vuelta de unos 10 km.que se tardan en realizar entre 2 y 3 horas . Las marcas blancas y amarillas del PRV-2 os guiaran en todo el recorrido.Un magnifico paseo por esta montaña alicantina.
EL CABEÇÓ D'OR
Hay varias versiones que tratan de explicar el nombre de Cabeço D'or (Cabezon de oro) algunos indican que se refiere a que el D’Or, proviene de un término prerromano utilizado para designar el agua: Ur. ya que su acuifero alimentaba a las fuentes minerales del antiguo balneario de Aigües, otros sostienen que d’Or, proviene del color rojizo que toma la sierra en la puesta de sol, es este color verdaderamente mágico y puede verse bien desde los llanos de San Juan, Mutxamel y Alicante y algunos cuentan la leyenda de un árabe en tiempos del dominio musulmán que enterro un valioso tesoro en el seno de esta montaña, en un lugar remoto e ignorado, sólo conocido por él, y que tras su muerte quedo oculto para siempre,
y si bien es cierto que nunca aparecio dicho tesoro, tambien lo es el hecho de que en otras sierras vecinas como Aitana y en el Montgó se han encontrado tesoros de este tipo.
Se parte de las coordenadas que es donde se puede dejar el coche y se puede tardar unas dos horas y media en subir y dos horas en bajar.La altitud de la cumbre es de 1207 mtrs y desde la misma se ve un panorama de 360 grados rodeados por un sin fin de sierras y el mar llegandose a divisar las montañas de Ibiza en dias claros.
