This cache(camo painted ammo box) contains items used in technical climbing. Included are; a climbing shoe, a piton, a nut(not the edible kind), retired caribiners(if you'd like to TS please take one of these but please don't use them for climbing purposes), a piece of climbing rope(6"), a piece of nylon webbing(6"), an articial hold used for indoor climbing, a chalkbag(which I found on the rims, take it if it's yours!), some pictures of climbing on the rims and pictures with route numbers which are used as a guide for climbers. The cache is located in Rimrock Park an undeveloped park which is popular with climbers. It is located above the Gregory Hills subdivision. Access is from Rockwood Circle. Take the trail which starts just right of the fire hydrant. Bear right(north) at the large boulder at ~100 yds.
11/1/10 Not to say that you won't see a rattlesnake, but I've been climbing and walking my dog in this area for 25 years and have never encountered one.
