I heard that tozainamboku was once hiking on this trail when he
saw a naked lady bear. I would have liked to see his reaction. This
is what he did after he saw another naked lady bear (me) at the
Pyramid Lake Event
Thanks, FishPOET for the picture.
They are signs on the trail that say it is closed. According to
my geocaching friend who asked the park ranger, the "trail closed"
signs were put up because someone was injured on the trail and the
city wanted to limit its liability should that happen again, and
that no one would be prevented from using the trail. You should
only attempt this cache if you are willing to accept the risk of
looking for a back country cache. If you don't know what to do if
come across a naked lady bear, perhaps you should stick to caches
hidden in light poles.
I found this container when I was looking for some grubs to eat
in a tree not far from this cache (at least as bears travel). It
still has markings from the other cache and the original log book.
I put in a new log book for you to use to log this cache.
