This toposcope, made of granite is erected at Gonubie Point. Bring your own pen.
This one is different to most toposcopes in that visitors stand at one end and look across to the other for the direction they seek, instead of standing on top of the compass. Information about the area they are pointed to is inscribed on plates on each of the eight plinths. The giant compass, measuring three metres in diameter, provides the direction to local historical areas, like former president Nelson Mandela's birthplace, Qunu. As this is high muggle area, we have made the hint as easy as possible, kindly refer to it. Also, please replace exactly as found and do not disturb the vegetation around it.
