This cache was placed at Marcus Cooke Park in memory of my beagle, Mr. Beags. Beags loved to go for walks here because of its mild terrain and we usually had the park to ourselves.
The cache container is an ammo can placed just off one of Beags' favorite trails. It is not a difficult hide but please re-hide as you found it without disturbing its surroundings as much as possible. You'll understand when you find the cache.
I am dedicating this cache to my beloved beagle and to all rescued dogs that found happy homes. Beags recently went to the doggie park in the sky. I rescued him a while ago from a family that kept him in a cage for about 23 hours a day. They never paid much attention to him and although his name used to be "Dante", they called him "the beagle". They told me he didn't like toys or hikes. They couldn't have been more wrong about this little fellow. He loved his toys so much that he destroyed them quickly and enjoyed the geocaching outings I would take him on. I will truly miss our hikes and fun times together.
The cache container is filled with dog-related items but feel free to trade other things too. Include in your log if you bring your dog along for the find. I hope other dogs will enjoy this little trail system as much as he did.
