In the classic movie, "Treasure of the Sierra Madre," Humphrey Bogart and Walter Huston play prospectors searching for treasure in Mexico (caching without a GPS?). When they are confronted by bandidos posing as Federales, Bogart demands to see their badges. Gold Hat, the bandido leader, responds with this famous line: "I don't need to show you no stinking badges!"
Over the years this quote has been changed by folks hiking into the forest and by GPS merchants to say "I don't need no stinking map!" Finally, the latest version is popop's classic quote: "I don't need no stinking GPS!" Bad Duck and others have at times also indicated their ability to find caches without their GPS. So here's the challenge: leave your stinking GPS at home (or in the cachemobile) and go find the Treasure of the Sierra Madre. It's a small cammo plastic jar large enough for small TB's and a bag of coins (got to be a treasure somewhere in this!)
Will you use your GPS or not?
