Geocache Description:

La cache si trova lungo il sentiero dell'Acquacheta che partendo da S.Benedetto in Alpe porta fino alle cascate ed alla piana dei romiti.

Il percorso per raggiungere la cache si snoda lungo il torrente Acquacheta (sv CAI 407). Si può lasciare la macchina in piazza XXV Aprile a S.Benedetto od al vicino parcheggio indicato dalle coordinate riportate sotto.
Lungo il percorso, molto panoramico per le cascatelle ed i salti del torrente, si trovano salici e ontani che mano a mano che si sale sono sostituiti da ornielli, roverelle e carpini neri. Prima di arrivare alla cache si raggiunge un punto panoramico con una vista spettacolare sulla Caduta dell'Acquacheta, anche Dante a suo tempo passò da queste parti...Se ne avete voglia e fiato, portatevi scorte da picnic, ci sono diversi tavoli lungo il percorso...basta che non vi lamentiate che la macchinetta del caffè ed il frigo sono pesanti da portare lungo le salite!
La cache si trova vicino alla "Cascata Piccola" a circa 700m di quota, giusto sul confine del parco delle foreste Casentinesi.(e sul confine tra Toscana ed Emilia-Romagna)
Il nome della cache mi è venuto in mente guardando il bacino della cascatella, veramente particolare.
Il percorso è sempre lungo il sentiero quindi si raccomandano le normali attenzioni che si devono tenere su un sentiero battuto ma comunque di montagna. La cache stessa è un filino più impegnativa da raggiungere ed è abbastanza nascosta.

ATTENZIONE: Raccomando di non fare cose pericolose per raggiungerla e di adottare tutte le misure del caso per evitare ogni rischio soprattutto di caduta! Io ho usato una corda, ma un'assicurazione fatta bene è meglio.

Il posto dove si trova la cache si presta benissimo per un panino tanto per ristorarsi, dato che possono servire un paio d'ore per arrivare dal parcheggio.
La lettura del GPS mi dava 14m di errore, quindi potrebbe essere una buona idea dare un'occhiata alla foto spoiler.

The path to reach the cache follows the Acquacheta creek (CAI trail n.407). You can leave the car in S.Benedetto in Alpe, XXV Aprile square, or at nearby parking (see cordinates below).
Along the trail, with really scenic views on small falls and water jumps, you will find several interestin kind of trees such as alders, willows, ashens and so on. Just before reaching the cache, you will arrive to a very scenic view of Acquacheta Falls, even Dante Alighieri was here...a lot of years ago :). If you are willing to bring with you some food and camping gear you will find several places well suited for a great picnic (but remember: you are in a wildlife preserving park, obey the rules!).
The cache is close to the "Small Falls", more or less 700m amsl, exactly on the border of Foreste Casentinesi Park (and on the border between Toscana and Emilia-Romagna). The cache name was inspired by the color of the nearby falls, quite peculiar.
To reach the cache you will follow the trail, so adopt the usual care for a well known path, but a mountain path nonetheless. The cache itself is a bit more demanding to reach and is hidden quite well.
BEWARE! don't do anything dangerous to reach the cache!! I've used a rope, but a more suitable gear can be advisable. Be really careful and avoid to risk to fall down.
The place is good for eating a sandwich to recover from the walk, as it can take a couple of hours to arrive here from the car parking.
My gps reported 14m precision, so a quick look at spoliler photo can be advisable.
