Placed at the location of the UKs largest earthquake in 24 years.
This cache has been sited with the permission and permit of the Forestry Commission. This is a working forest and all signed must be adhered to. The cache follows GAGB guidelines.
This cache is located near to N 53.404 W 0.331 which are the coordinates given by the British Geological Survey for the UKs largest Earthquake in 24 years.
It happened on 27th February 2008 at 00:56:47.8 at a depth of 18.6Km with a magnitude of 5.2.
The cache is South East of Nova Scotia rail bridge just off the bridleway. The cache is a small drinks container containing a logbook and pencil.
I request that the cache is used for Geocoins and Travelbugs only. There is not really space for any "tat".
