Geocache Description:

The tallest bird in North America, the Whooping Crane was once at the brink of extinction. It is making a steady recovery thanks to intensive management efforts in Canada and the United States. As of October 29, 2007, 503 Whooping Cranes existed in the world. (355 in the wild and 148 in captivity)

The cache is located in the Conde Game Refuge area. Great place to spend a day to hike on the trails and observe wild life. Enjoy a brief rest stop when travelling #11 highway (use Exit "A") and see all the wild life in this area. The deer, beaver, muskrats, ducks, geese, birds, and rabbits roam this area, and yes, if you’re lucky, you may even see pheasants. Guaranteed to see a flying whooping crane !!

This Refuge area is "closed from sunset to sunrise".

You will be looking for a medium size camoed lock box.

All good cachers will always carry a writing implement and also replace the cache "exactly" where they found it!
