This is an easy puzzle to solve but you need to go on site. The
coords are to "Home Plate"- a redwood and yellow FCPA sign. Solve
the puzzle below using info from the sign and you are on your way
around the bases. First base and second base are shiny metallic
bison tubes that have coords to the next base. Third base is the
final- a large clear plastic jar with a red top. Finish back at the
sign for your Denne's Grand Slam!!
Please hunt this cache only during the hours between dawn and
dusk. Entering the park after dark is against park rules and you
could be found trespassing. Any logs indicating the cache was found
at night will be deleted.
The park is named to honor a man who gave a lot of time
supporting youth sports in the area. This cache recognizes him and
all youth sports volunteers. The dad who gets up early to line the
fields. The mom who adds coaching to all her regular motherly
duties. The parents that make the snack schedules. The team moms.
The volunteer umpires. Without you, our kids would have a less
memorable experience. Thank you.
For the Puzzle: Assume A is 1, B is 2, etc. On the sign is the
first name, middle initial and last name of an individual. Use the
initial letter of his first and last names and his middle
initial.
Initial letter of his first name is X
His middle initial is Y
Initial letter of his last name is Z
Add X,Y and Z to form W
Subtract Y from Z to get V
Coords for first base are N38.54.7X6, W077 24.WVV.
