Muskrat's Pond cache is located within the Great Swamp Outdoor
Education Center, A facility of the Morris County Park
Commission.
The Center has beautiful walking trails throughout the many
habitats, including upland forests, meadows, marshes, ponds,
streams and swamps. The Center is open all year from dawn to dusk
to enjoy the changing seasons. Trail maps and program guides are
available in the information center.
Use the woodland trails wisely, a direct route is not the best
route. Please follow the winding trails and save the bushwhacking
for another day.
Note: To locate this cache you will be hiking over swampland on
elevated boardwalks. Please protect yourself during the warmer
months from mosquitoes.
Muskrat's Pond cache can be located by following the winding
woodland trails off the main trail, past the "Twin Timbers cache",
which will wind around to smaller deer trails.
