Geocache Description:

A small cache with a lovely view.

The two roads between Newcastleton and Langholm climb over the hills and give the traveler the chance of some breathtaking views. This cache is on the more northerly of the two routes - some years ago it was described as one of his favourite routes by Jim Dunn, the Motoring Correspondent for the Scotsman! The condition of the surface can be variable - this is a road with its fair share of potholes - so travelling fast is not option! The highest point of the road crosses the watershed between the Ewes and Hermitage Waters, and the views both ways are stunning.
Parking for the cache is a hundred or so yards away in either direction - please don't park at the site.
