En staty av Tea Helenelund, rest 1955 till minne av barn som förolyckats i trafiken. I folkmun berättas det att Inkeriparken fått namn av en flicka som miste sitt liv då hon försökt rädda en skadad sparv från att bli påkörd.



Kuvanveistäjä Tea Helenelundin Liikenteessä kuolleiden lasten muistomerkki, paljastettu Inkerinpuistossa 1955. Vaasalaisen urbaanilegendan mukaan patsaan ja puiston nimi tulee siitä, että Inkeri niminen tyttö kuoli auton alle yrittäessään pelastaa haavoittunutta varpusta jäämästä auton alle.



A statue by Tea Helenelund unveiled in 1955 in the memory of young traffic victims. An urban legend tells the story of a girl named Inkeri who tried to save an injured house sparrow from being run over by cars, she lost her life doing so. Hence the name Inkeri park.
