Cache dedicated to a local icon; Glen the Can Man
Locals to this area have seen him for well over a decade. A full head of white hair, parted low on the side, walking along the road with a bag of cans....
This cache is dedicated to Glen. If you see a can or two when you visit it is a rare sight, before too long Glen will be walking along with his bag to pick them up.
I was at Molalla Safeway cleaning the loose cans out of the back of my truck and saw him unloading his vintage green plymouth. I went in and introduced myself and gave him my cans. Glen says that he walks to stay 83 years young, it keeps him busy in his retirement.Glen also says that he has people throw cans out of their speeding cars all of the time as he is walking, so far he has not been hit!
