The World Wide Flash Mob Caching Event, May 10, 2008 at
10am!
Definition: Flash Mob (FLASH mawb) n. A large group of people who
gather in a usually predetermined location, perform some brief
action, and then quickly disperse. —v., —adj. The Basic Idea: A
"Flash Mob" Gathering of Geocachers. You've hear of MEGA-EVENTS?
This is quite the opposite in a variety of ways. Come be part of
this historic event! WWFM (World Wide Flash Mob) held in
conjunction with the San Diego WWFM hosted by iTrax and FoxTail.
Check out all the other scheduled WWFM events in the bookmark list
to the right.
There may be several muggles nearby who will wonder "What did I
just see? What just happened?" (That's part of the fun!)
A "Flash Mob" gathering of geocachers from 10:00 – 10:15 am. You
MUST be present and sign a log sheet DURING this time to claim the
event. Please BRING YOUR OWN PEN!
The event will begin precisely at 10:00 am (Pacific Standard Time)
on Saturday, May 10th. The event will be held at the posted
coordinates in front of the Legislature Buildings. This is in an
open public space where dogs are welcome but should be leashed.
9:45 - 9:59AM Mill about and mosey realistically. Take a walk along
the pathways. Try and act real touristy (take pictures, point at
things, smooch your honey, etc etc) but try not to bunch up too
much. Be nonchalant and casual. Don't look like a gathering waiting
to happen. This is part of the fun.
STAY AWAY from ground zero!
9:59AM Be prepared to FREEZE quickly.
10:00AM Mr. Landsharkz will walk to ground zero with a bucket for
trackables and coast2coast2coast will blow a whistle! This is the
signal that the event and the THREE MINUTE FREEZE has begun!
Everyone should FREEZE IN THE SPOT THEY ARE IN at this time.

10:03AM The whistle will blow again and you will THAW QUICKLY and
converge on Ground Zero where Mr. Landsharkz will be with the
bucket.
10:05AM 2Fidoes will hand you an official 'Legislative Flash' "log
sheet". Participants must sign the log sheets (which will later
become the log book). Drop them in the Parliamentary Shark Bucket
being manned by 'creakyclanchris'. No log sheet? Your name will be
removed from the 'attended' logs! Please bring your own name tag to
put on your jacket when you 'arrive at the event'.
10:06AM 'The Parliamentary Caterers' will serve our “event meal” !
DLoubert will be manning the bright yellow CITO Bag.
10:06 - 10:14 Mingle. Share stories. Brag. Trade swag. Swap
trackables. Take pictures. CITO the local area!
10:14AM One minute warning is called - "It is now 10:14!" Prep to
leave, but don't "look" like you are prepping.
10:15AM EXACTLY Wait for it ... Mr. Landsharkz will call “BYE – see
you soon”. LEAVE the area (right at 10:15AM in a disorderly manner
/ different directions). The swag bucket, any remaining trackables
and the log sheets will be packed up and sealed away. The event
area will be vacated without a trace!!! Anything that happens after
10:15:01 does not count as part of this event.

you'll be automatically notified in case of any late breaking
developments.
