April 19,2010--Just wanted to mention the Forest Service has put up a sign saying the water from this spring is not for human consumption. I haven't tried it lately but you may want to avoid drinking it.
I'm not sure if the real name of this road is the Blue Jay Trail, but I've heard many people in the area refer to it that way. The higher difficulty rating is because of the many people who frequent the area, so you may want to be somewhat stealthy if anyone is there. The container is an orange match canister, not inside the fence. Be sure to bring a pencil.
