The location has been
encrypted multiple times. The only way you are going to be able to
decrypt the location is by locating six (6) small lock & lock
containers each containing a key. More than one key has been used
to encrypt the final location. However not all of the keys are
used. The second part of the puzzle is figuring out which keys are
used. This will be determined by a six (6) digit "Relevance Number"
on each key. Please only take one copy of the key from each
container. The order of encryption is easy. I started with the
lowest "Key Number" and went in order so it stands to reason that
you will have to do the opposite once you determine which keys are
used. Just like socks go on before shoes and shoes must come off
before socks.

There is also another small
lock & lock serving as a hint cache to help you make sense of
the "Relevance Number." Please leave the hint info in this
container after reading it. When I was first planning the puzzle I
did not have this hint cache. I decided to include it because I
figured that some people would not be able to solve this in one
trip without it.
The hint cache is
located here:
N42 AB.CDE W079 FG.HIJ
You will get the letters
from each key container so after you have found all six (6) key
caches you will be able to go to the hint cache if needed. Stopping
at the hint cache is up to you. The puzzle difficulty would be a 5
star without it.
You will find the
coordinates to all six (6) key caches in the additional waypoints
section below. I have also included coordinates to six (6) of the
gamelands parking areas that may prove useful in your search. I am
leaving the approach up to you. Although all stages are hidden off
of roads and trails in the woods, in most cases only minimal
bushwacking is required if you approach from logical directions. It
may be of use to consult topo, sat, and gamelands maps to plan your
approach but not necessary. Bring water and plan on walking about 7
miles total for this cache. There is no major elevation change but
there are swamps and thorns to avoid.
Gamelands 191 is a
spectacular area. In the couple of days I spent scouting the area I
encountered deer, snakes, hawks, ducks, geese, frogs, and other
various birds. By the time you are done with this you will have
explored most of the gamelands. You will also encounter a few
man-made ponds, a swamp or two, a couple of streams, and many types
of trees. Be sure to check for fossils in the stream bed in the
southern section of the gamelands.
There is a first to find
and second to find prize in the bag with the logbook. FTF please
choose one and save the STF prize for the next
finder.
6 things you should bring:
1. Long Pants.
2. A good calculator.
3. Extra batteries for GPS.
4. Good waterproof hiking boots.
5. Scratch paper.
6. Drinking water.
A few other notes to
would be seekers:
1. Please keep in mind that this cache is located in PA State
Gamelands #191. Use caution, wear blaze orange during hunting
season, and be sure to follow Pennsylvania Game Commission
Rules and Regulations.
2. There will be thorns and some wet spots.
3. Take it easy if driving on the three dirts roads. They can be
pretty rough in a few spots. Also be sure to park ONLY at the small
gamelands lots listed in the additional waypoints section.
4. Please remember to leave the hint sheet and only take one key
from each container.
5. Please replace and recamo each container to ensure the long life
of this hide.
Best of luck and good
caching.
- Rev
Mike
