What's with them W's, F's, M's,
and I's!
First, let's discuss what one of the "F's" stand for: FLASH MOB!
What is a Flash Mob? A Flash
Mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public
place, perform an unusual action for a brief period of time, then
quickly disperse.
"WWFM" stands for the World Wide Flash Mob event:
Dozens of events
all around the world, coordinated to happen at the same time to
bring together geocachers and introduce others (newbies) to
geocaching.
Finally, this is the third such event world wide, and will be the
first WWFM in Western Mass hence "WMF" : Western Mass's First -
World Wide Flash Mob III!
Remember, this event is a "Flash Mob" gathering of geocachers,
only 15 minutes long! To claim the event, you must be present and
sign a log sheet during this time. (Hence the difficulty level of
2.) To help facilitate this PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN
PEN.
THE ITINERARY
12:45 - 12:59 - Wait patiently in your vehicles or stroll
inconspicuously around the area. Please be careful of any cars in
the area!
1:00 - At exactly 1:00pm (as determined by my GPSr's clock) we
will place a bucket full of nice swag at the coordinates . At this
point, all geocachers will converge, seeming to come out of
"nowhere".
1:00:01 - 1:05 - log sheets will be handed out. you must sign the
log sheet and drop it in the Bucket to get credit for being a part
of this!
1:05 - 1:09 - Event "meal" will be served. Yes, unlike the folks
on the Cape, we will be serving an event meal!!!! After you get
your meal, line up for the ....
1:09 - 1:11 - Group Photo will be taken.
1:11 - 1:12 - Call the folks out in Cape Cod to brag about our
event! ( Koneko, what's your phone Number??? )
1:12 - 1:13 - Draw tickets for the winner of the FTF. and the
grand prize ..... a UNACTIVATED OFFICIAL WWFM III geocoin. Yup.
unlike the folks on the Cape, we will have drawing for this coveted
geocoin!
1:13 - 1:14:59 - Trade Items then .... Wait for it ...
1:15:00 - LEAVE! The event will end promptly at 1:15:00. Please do
not linger at the site. Please CITO on the way back to your
car.
A few things to note.
• The event will occur rain or shine! ( yea caught the spelling
error Jen )
• You must sign a log sheet in order to log the event.
• Please do NOT linger at the site as that detracts from the spirit
of the event.
• Please CITO the area as you leave.
• Post event caching will continue in the Westville Lake Recreation
area in Southbridge

As you can see, this is THE Massachusetts WWFM III event to
attend!
