We're proud to say that the idea for this cache was 'stolen' from Kenneray who has a fun one over in Novato called Hill Spawn if memory serves. It contains as swag a variety of fully prepared caches.
Some of you may remember the Mamas and the Papas, a group from several decades past. It was Mama Cass who inspired the name for this one but Kenneray deserves this mention.
So in this one you will find two already prepared peanut butter jar caches complete with logs and everything. In each of those are four smaller prepared tube caches (a popular cold preventative). So we have three generations of caches represented here.
If you decide to take any of the Mama's children I have four requests:
1. Please place it somewhere within thirty days.
2. Name it whatever you'd like but something referring to the Mamas and the Papas would be nice.
3. Include some of the backstory so that those who take that next generation will also get these request passed along to them.
4. Everyone email us with the name that you've given it so that we can be proud cachegrandparents.
You will be looking for a large camo'ed plastic jar. There is a lot of poison oak growing in the area although it isn't particularly thick so be careful. The cache is hidden in a spot that will prove attractive to any number of creepy crawly critters so be sure to knock politely before sticking your hand in there.
We're not promising but we hope to renew the contents with more caches as the generations disperse so everyone have a good time with the caching.
04/02/12 - The original container has been muggled so today we replaced it with another of a similar size. It is fully stocked with traditional goodies and now also has seven or eight babies for you to adopt and spread to the world. Have fun.
