The Reserve derives its name from the Tosohatchee Creek which flows through the northern portion of the reserve. The original name of Tootoosahatchee was simplified by the previous owners of the area to the present Tosohatchee (pronounced Tos-uh-hatch-ee). Native Americans named the creek, which roughly translates to "chicken" or "fowl".
This is one of the 4 traditional caches you must find in order to get the coordinates to the mystery cache. It will help if you try to find them in this order; 4 Ponds, Far Eastern Pond, Gator Pond & Lake Charles.
If you do all 5 caches you will drive about 5+/- miles & hike about 5+/- miles.
This one is well hidden off the road.
This cache is within sight of a high muggle activity area so, take care that no one sees you retrieving or replacing the cache.
Please make sure you close it tightly & replace it as you found it.
PLEASE leave no trace of your being here & remove any trash you find.
Take a break by sitting at the picnic table while working out the coordinates of the final cache.
In order to get the North coordinates for the mystery cache, subtract the number found at the 4 Pond cache from the number found at the Far Eastern Pond cache.
The West coordinates of the mystery cache are found by adding the Gator Pond numbers to the Lake Charles numbers.
The final cache corrdinates are
N28° ??.???
W080° ??.???
