Grand High Pobah: It would appear that the area of the cache is now covered with poison ivy so it would seem prudent to archive the cache. I would not want to think that my cache has caused anyone pain to get to. It had a good run and thanks to all that visited it.

Geocache Description:

A 33mm film canister located within 6' of the Apex Trail

Apex park extends from Heritage Square on the east to Lookout Mountain Rd on the west. It provides a wonderful relief from the urban sprawl in a close in setting. Please see the full writeup provided by Jefferson County Open Space at (visit link) The cache is located approximately 0.7 miles down from parking on Lookout Mountain Rd. See the reference point for parking. While the trail is steep, it is well maintained. The area has a wonderful amount of wildlife to enjoy while hiking. If you are taking young children along, be advised that the hike back up to parking may be difficult for them.
