I have always enjoyed Lost Maples State Natural area. It is one
of my favorite places to hike. The beauty of the many creeks and
springs, the pond, and the magnificent views of the Texas hill
country. On a cache run here last year, I placed a cache at the top
of the large hill on the East trail. The climb is very difficult, I
have often referred to it as the Stairmaster from .... Well, you
know. I figured if you braved the climb, you should be rewarded.
