Geocache Description:

updated: 12/23/2011. Replaced ammo can with another container. This ammo box was placed for our geo-event, A Lake, A Snake, and A Cake! GC1AJCR Congrats to tcaliri who was FTF!

Come and enjoy the beautiful view of Otay Lake and the surrounding hills. The 78-acre park, which is also the proposed eastern gateway/staging area for the Otay Valley Regional Park, has long been a favorite in the South Bay. A playground, horseshoe courts, hiking trails, lawn area, and native plant/demonstration garden are a few of the many reasons to visit Otay Lakes County Park. Birdwatchers will find much to reward their visit to the park and the surrounding area.

Park hours: Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, and holiday: 9:30 a.m. - sunset. Closed Christmas Day. Note: I just made it for all members, not just premium, since some attendees from the event might not be Premium members. Maybe they might convert. 12-23-11: No longer an ammo can.
