Southboine Canoe Launch Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

burchil: Well it was a good run but the the leaves and twigs have all been picked up. The cache was a micro (bison tube) stuck in an inch round x 3 inch long stick - looked like a cut off shrub initially.

Thanks for all of the finds and comments. I found this location when looking for a cache across the river and loved the name (given my passion for canoeing).

Geocache Description:

This cache is dedicated to all of those who paddle in an open boat. It is not winter friendly!

I found this little park last year when looking for another cache that turned out to be across the river. It was a long ride and I was wishing I had a canoe to launch by the time I found the other cache.

If anyone can provide more information about the park and why it is there please email. It appears there is a storm drain under the park.

You don’t need to go on any private property. The cache is NOT in a tree so don't bother looking. Also remember Louis the Lightning bug and stay away from those electrical transformer boxes.
