Geocache Description:

A short walk north from Town Street in Rawdon along the public footpath. Difficulty elevated slightly due to probable poor GPS reception. No need to move any rocks or do any bushwhacking.

I had the good fortune of running across the Yogi Bear's Picnic Basket (GC11M6A) cache (visit link) during a trip to Denver, Colorado, USA. The owner, rschnicker, placed this very large cache in March of 2007 with the concept of stocking it with smaller cache containers ready to be placed as new caches elsewhere. The containers are camoed, and pre-stocked with a pad and pen in a ziplock bag. All the lucky finder has to do is find a good hiding spot and submit the cache page. It's BRILLIANT! To date, 22 such 1st generation caches have been spawned from his one cache. But wait, there's MORE! Each of these containers have a 35mm canister (or two) ready to go out into the world as 2nd generation caches. There are 16 of these 2nd generation caches out there. That's 38 caches from his one cache, and those are just the ones that have been reported back to him.

We're happy to be carrying on the tradition. Inside there are two 35mm containers to serve as 2nd gen caches. If you would like to carry on the tradition, feel free to take one of the 35mm containers, and I hope you'll let me know when you place them. I'll add their new names to this cache's listing and pass on the good news to rschnicker. If you'd rather not, that's no problem - please leave them for the next visitor. ENJOY!

UPDATE: Sadly, as of 10 January, Yogi Bear's Picnic Basket was archived. It was a fantastic success, and thanks to rschnicker again for putting it out there!
