Geocache Description:

A straightforward cache on a nice trail.

The New Almaden Trail is somewhat underserved by caches. Compared to hotspots like Wood Road, this trail is practically empty, cache-wise.

OK, let's work on that!

On April 19 2008 I was here with a group of volunteers at a trail building event sponsored by the County Parks and the Trail Center. About 40 volunteers worked from 8:30 until 3 to build this new section of trail. The County Parks trail crew had earlier built a new bridge over the creek at this spot, to replace an older "Boy Scout Bridge". The volunteer crew today built the trail leading TO the new bridge, and obliterated the old trail and old bridge.

The cache is a clear plastic tupperware container. There's a geo-coin inside as FTF prize. The cache placement should not surprise anyone who's done this sort of location before.

As always in this park, watch for Poison Oak, Ticks and Snakes. There wasn't any PO near the cache at the time of placement, but ... you know the drill.
