The cache is a baby soda bottle, easily visible, a short distance off the trail.
There are some terrific views on the hike to the cache. When my wife and I hiked out to place this cache and the others with the clues, we hiked through almost the entire park. It was a very nice 8.5 mile hike through redwood groves, oak woods, and ridge meadows. There is a lot of wildlife to be seen in the area. My wife and I have seen deer, turkeys, quail, many other types of birds, and even a mountain lion! I hope you enjoy exploring the park as much as we have.
If you decide to grab all five caches in the same outing I recommend that you start with Sam's Legacy, head on down the Heritage Grove Trail to the H.Q. and on to Chinook Campers Hike, then take the fire road to Sam's Big View & Hiker's Hut Redux. This is a nice loop and the shortest way to get all five.
