Double Dipping Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Traditional Cache. Large plastic jar with blue lid. Trinkets for kids. Quick stop off I-5. See below for details.

We named this one Double Dipping for two reasons. First you might get lucky and see some fishermen or smelt dippers depending on the time of year. Second you should see a large flock of large black birds (Double Crested Cormorant's we have been told)across the river diving for fish.

Althougth you can park almost on top of the cache we recommend parking either at the gas station just west of location and walking or going to Riverside Park and parking at the site of our first cache "Pick-up-a-stick". You can walk from there on the dike trail.

There is a new bridge off of I-5 over the Cowlitz River not yet listed on city maps. Exit #42 off I-5 now continues west over the river and connects to the intersection at Westside Highway and Sparks Dr.
