Remains of an Old Quarry in a beautiful park on the outskirts of the Town Elgin Moray. Set in an old Pine wood. Car parking at N57-39-195 W003-23-089
The Quarrel wood on the outskirts of Elgin consists of an area of Forestry, Pine, Beech and some Old Oak. The Wood is used by the public and has 3 marked walks. There are three now defunct quarries in the wood. Also there are remains of a class one Henge with some artefacts from it held in Elgin Museum.
The cache is in a Lock and Lock white plastic box 850ml in size.
It has a note book pen and pencil in it. A few swaps to start the ball rolling. Be careful near the cache as the ground is a bit rocky and stony. Please ensure you replace the cache securely, and watch out for the many dog and leisure walkers.
