Ab-DUCK-ted Traditional Cache
Craftea's Archives: Thanks so much for trying to find a difficult cache, sorry it was too much for you. Of course it can be archived! I'll retrieve the container.

Some time
ago, I placed a simple cache near here, but waited before
submitting it to make sure it stayed put. As I suspected, when I
went back the next weekend, it was missing. The most likely suspect
was not, as you would imagine, a muggle. No, I believe a duck took
it. It had been ab-duck-ted.
I don't give up easily, (and who wants to lose to a duck?) so I'm
placing a cache here again, only this one is going to be hidden so
well the ducks won't find it. Of course, you're smarter than a duck
so you won't have any trouble. Except that I hid it so that the
muggles that hang out here won't find it, either. So you might have
trouble.
Anytime you have a 50/50 chance of getting something right,
there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong, but don’t let that
stop you from trying. Once you’ve found it, please replace it so
that ducks and muggles alike can’t find it, and leave the next
geocachers to their own chance.
The cache is located on the northeast corner of the north lake of
Twin Lakes in Smokey Point. Parking is free, as is access to the
park. Juveniles are the only ones allowed to fish here, and dogs
must stay on a leash at all times. When the sun is out, this place
can get mighty crowded with swimmers and sunbathers, and even when
it’s only marginally nice, you’ll rarely find you have this place
to yourself, because it’s a popular dog-walking and jogging area.
So plan your geocaching visit for a time it’s likely to be less
busy, like early morning and evenings, or a rainy day (of which
there are plenty).
Have fun, and watch out for the ducks.
Congratulations to Johnny Boy, Sassy, and Rey del Roble for
joining in with the bribery of my tell-all son and promoting his
college fund, and for getting FTFs in the process. I love seeing
DNFs cleared up.
