The park turns to be unsafe about a lot of homelesses and junkies, now this is not similar to the feeling of the geocaching.

Geocache Description:

It will be a long but easy walk in the park in the center of Budapest.
It's hiding many sight for the visitor, the main purpose of this cache is to show them for you with this tour. You can collect the coordinates of the cache at certain waypoints too. Just follow the suggested reference points, or just the real waypoints, where the part of the coordinates are.

Please do your logging wider from the cache if it's possible.

The Népliget:
This park has been formed in 1860. It's territory is spreading in 112 hectare. Popular resting-place with trees,flowers inner boardwalks,monuments and playgrounds. Originally it was a sandmine,for stop the drift of sand in 1870 Emil Fuchs leader gardener of Pest build a horticulture and nursery garden. There were horse -chestnut trees,sycamores,lime-trees and maples in his collection. Here you can find the famous part of the Népliget,calledPark of Centennial. It has been built in 1973 for the 100 years anniversary of union of Pest,Buda and Óbuda. In the old times you can found here cinema, restaurants,target shooting,whirligig. The center of them called field of amusements. Here stands also the famous punch and judy show of Henrik Kemény. From 1930 until 1980 here were car and motor racings too. Today very popular place for running and to walk with dog. Also find here the American football stadium of Budapest Wolves and a famous dog-training school. In 2005 the Népliget had Protected Historical Garden award. For the full authenticity: Just like at the other parks in bigger cities,after dark you can meet here some shady cusses,so the late evening or night caching is not recommended!

-Public transport: Tram No1. to stop of Vajda Péter street, or bus No99. to stop of Könyves Kálmán boulevard.

Also a replaced monument, it's original place was at the St. Rókus chapel untill 1990.

Reference Point, The Planetarium

The Planetárium has been built in 1977. It's a theatre built primarily for presenting educational and entertaining shows about astronomy and the night sky, or for training in celestial navigation. A dominant feature of most planetariums is the large dome-shaped projection screen onto which scenes of stars, planets and other celestial objects can be made to appear and move realistically to simulate the complex 'motions of the heavens'. The celestial scenes can be created using a wide variety of technologies, for example precision-engineered 'star balls' that combine optical and electro-mechanical technology, slide projector, video and fulldome projector systems, and lasers. Whatever technologies are used, the objective is normally to link them together to provide an accurate relative motion of the sky. Typical systems can be set to display the sky at any point in time, past or present, and often to show the night sky as it would appear from any point of latitude on Earth. It's dome is about 1000 m2.

Henrik Kemény is a famous artist of this kind of theatre, his also well known figure is "Vitéz László" who is to symbolize the war between the good and the bad. Generations knows his humorous stories.

3rd. Waypoint: The iron object

Reference point, The former restaurant of Népliget

It's as old as the Nepliget. It's name was Ligeti Nagyvendeglo (alias Beerhall of Nepliget) has been built in 1895. It was the biggest restaurant of the city, 400 persons can have lunch in it on same time. Fully operated untill the WW II. After the years of 50s used by East-Pester Entertainer Company as a warehouse facility in original situation. After the 90s the building is slowly disregarded, in these days sometimes used for training of K9 dogs.

It has been built by the students of the Liceum of Fine arts in 1948, in the year of the centennial. There are symbols of ten profession on the monument.
