Aldingbourne Castle Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

auf_wiedersehen_pet: It's time for the A27 Division Series to be archived.

I adopted these last year and the general feedback is that, apart from their age (2008), the series is not worth saving. It it spread over quite an area and has only had a small number of finds and favourites during its eight year life span.

Understandably, nobody in my area (Hampshire) wanted to take them on and Sussex Cachers on FB were uncontactable. Pity.

Thanks to all finders.

Part of the ‘A27 Division’ Series. This cache can be completed on it’s own or in conjunction with ‘Tip Tease’, ‘Roar of the Dragon Fly’, ‘Post Post’ and ‘Roman Emperor’. Completing the series will lead you to the bonus ‘The Prime Alternative’.

The parish of Aldingbourne was divided by the A27 although still exists and retains a parish council committee. The site of Aldingbourne Castle is at Tote Copse, nearby to where Aldingbourne Palace was once situated although destroyed in the parliamentary war by Sir William Waller. Take a look at the Information board nearby for details of the site.
After a few reports of nettle stings we returned to the cache site to check. If you've got the right location you should remain unstung!

This cache is a small plastic box with a log book containing 2 clues and a pencil.
