Cache is along the bank of the Machias River.
Located in Northfield, Holmes Falls is a scenic 28 foot drop in the Machias River. For paddlers, it is a mandatory portage. Probably the easiest route to the cache is to go in on the road across from the 55 00 0 road in T31 near Wesley. It is approximately 10 miles in on this dirt road. Primitive campsites are available. It is not winter friendly.
The cache is in a small lock-n-lock container and is on the same side of the river as the parking area. It is placed well above the river floor and is about 20 feet NNE from a huge wolf pine growing through a ledge.
When placed, cache contained regular swag including a pedometer, key chain, mosquito wipe, retractable key chain, multi-tool, fish hooks, waterproof matches, and a FTF "wooden" coin. Have fun!
