The second "Let Your Heart Travel" cache was also molested by mugglers so a replacement has been put out one more time. You will find your treasure in Bothell's Brickyard Road Park. If you are looking for the final outside of the park perimeter, you have made a mistake in your calculations!
There is good news and some bad news though…the good news is that the cache is now a 3-step multi-cache, the doubly bad news is that it is in a different, more exposed location and to make it a bit more evil, it is now a smaller container. I have upped the difficulty level to reflect the evilness.
YOU WILL NEED TO SUPPLY YOUR OWN WRITING UTENSIL.
WP1: N47.44.953 W122.10.844
At this location, you will need to simply read numbers and calculate the coordinates for WP2 from what you see in front of you. Be careful…pay attention to what you are doing. Distractions may cause a wrong entry and could cause you to mutter something inappropriate if in the company of small children.
For the north coordinate of WP2, look up to see a big box with the word ALPHA on it.
SAFETY WARNING: You will be right next to the road so watch the little ones. There are two, four-character strings printed on the box in red letters. Use these two character strings to determine the north coordinate of WP2:
N47.45.ABC
A = third character of the first identification number
B = fourth character of the second identification number
C = third character of the second identification number
For the west coordinate of WP2, you will see
three vertical strips of identifying characters on the pole at eye-level. One strip has eight characters on it and two strips have six characters. Use these strips to determine the west coordinates for WP2: W122.10.DEF
D = third character of the first six digit strip
E = fifth character of the eight digit strip
F = first character of the second six digit strip
Now you have the coordinates for WP2. Whew!
At WP2, you will see the following information:
· A manufacture’s name
· A five-digit part number
· A country name
You will convert this information into the coordinates for the final waypoint. Convert the manufacture’s name and county name to numerals. A = 1, B = 2, C = 3, etc.
Final Waypoint: N47.44.9GH W122.10.JKL
G = the sum of the third and fourth characters of the part number
H = the first character in the manufacturer’s part number
J = fourth character in the manufacturer’s name
K = third character of the part number
L = first character of the country’s name minus the last character of the country’s name
If you are so inclined, there is another cache very close by called Cul-De-Sac Surprise (GCRFZD).
Congratulations to jcacher15 for being the FTF the new/old cache!
