Geocache Description:

This cache is located along the Woodville Trail along with several other clever hides hidden by Spike007 with Joe Cactus, Da Bloodhound, Hike and Seek, DOC., Zuma!, and me, Boris Badenov. If you have time bring your bike and find them all.

This section of the trail is hard grass covered and mowed on a regular basis.

The Woodville, actually Wildwood Trail is a recreational trail that follows an old abandoned feeder rail line that once connected the main east-west rail line north of Woodville to the town of Spring Valley to the south. St. Croix County chose to develop the right-of-way for recreational purposes when the rail line was abandoned. Horseback riding, hiking and biking are common summer activities on the packed limestone trail from the county line at the south through Woodville at the north. Snowmobiling and hiking on the trail are favorite winter activities here. Pierce County, to the south, chose not to acquire the trail right-of-way and the adjacent land owners were deeded the rail road property. Local snowmobile clubs currently maintain a trail there for their benefit through private agreements with the land owners. As of January 1, 2008 Da Bloodhound has made arrangements with the owners of this property to allow limited access for geocaching on the first section south of the county line. Still, Horseback riding, biking and hiking are generally not allowed on this section.
