Computers Limited
We Should be Talking to Each Other is named after one of the ICL adverts of the late 1980's, do you remember it? It's the one with the lights moving around the windows in a couple of tower blocks.
This is a traditional cache placed on the public foot path which runs around the perimeter of the former ICL Kidsgrove factory where the PCB's for most of the range of ICL computers were made. Including System 4, 1900 and 2900 series, System 25, 7500 Series, ME29, DRS-20, DRS-30, DRS-75, DRS-3000 and DRS-6000.
The Cache is a 0.6 litre clip lock box in a cammo bag with room for swaps etc. placed just to the side of the footpath. The footpath can be busy at times with dog walkers and workers escaping from the local factories for half an hour during their lunch breaks. Cache Starting Contents:-
Log Book and stash note. Butterfly GeoCoin. Small sewing set. Tape measure Keyring. Wooden spinning top. Small padlock and keys Green creepy crawly thing.
Sadly ICL no longer exists as a company and all the photos are of the old buildings on the Kidsgrove site which were built in the early 1960's, they are now no longer there having been replaced in 2006 by the monstrosity which now occupies most of the site. Many thanks to Steve Slack for supplying the photos.
