We made this cache while staying at Hurkey Creek campground for a 24 Hours of Adrenalin mountain bike race. We have noticed the last several races we have been here that there are no caches at this great campground. The race takes up most of the campground for the weekend and the rules are simple. There is a 10 mile course and you ride as many laps as you can in 24 hours. The race starts at noon on Saturday and ends at noon on Sunday. You can enter as a team up to 5 people or even ride it solo. Last weekend the solo winner rode 20 laps by himself (almost 200 miles for those bad at math) which is more than a lot of 4 and 5 person teams ride! Anyone can attend and the expo area is quite a good time all night long since riders are constantly riding through at all hours of the night. We camp here several times a year as there are 2 races a year. It has a lot of good kids stuff and we will try to keep it stocked. The original ammo can disappeared, but thanks to other cachers has been replaced with a smaller container.
