Geocache Description:

After leaving the Buggs and Kerby contention of canines Clover was reunited with longtime friend Moon who deserved a cache.

Every Wednesday evening I take Mutts of Team Evil Fish to Cosmo Park one of the nicest Dog Parks I have ever been to excluding the lack of human water facilities but oh well this after all is a Dog Park..

The park hours are from 6am till 10pm and the cache can be found during those times..

Moon is a Corgy/Retriever maybe Cocker mix breed.

An eclipse container was used for Cosmo park.

9/30 update

Now that the Magnet is also missing, took a replacement container but not a magnet. I have decided to move this to a less open area.

Moon began life as a pound puppy born in June of 1999 adopted in August of 1999 by my sister Charmin. After a couple of years my Sister's family moved out of state leaving him with Gretchen, another sister, where he has remained ever since. Moon was a playmate for my dog Clover, who I could not have with me in an apartment or younger and last sister Marilyn could no longer have Clover stay with her. Clover and Moon were a interesting tandem, when the front door was open they would make a break for it and actually walk themselves as they would be gone for about 20-30 minutes and return waiting to be let back in. I suspect that they did that because my sister was unable to walk them due to her hectic schedule. In 2008 I moved in with my sister Gretchen where Moon and Clover could be together again, Clover was able to join me at a new residence for a few months, before I had to make residence changes, but the dogs were happy.. I would take them for a walk where Clover was with me off leash for the most part but kept Moon on one as he would want to make a run for it. I found that walks in Nichols Park were the best for Moon as I would let him run free, he would wonder in and out of the bushes hopping for a rabbit to chase. He began to feel like a third wheel when Ozz was with us but I think it helped with his choices of staying closer to the pack. Over the past few months as Clover's sight has deteriorated Moon would walk with Clover on a Y leash as a guide of sorts. With the addition of Mojo and Peaches, Moon did quite well as a older dog who still enjoyed a car ride and walk in the park. Moon passed unexpectedly quick and peaceful on Saturday April 24th. We surmise that it was heart failure, as he had a bit of a cough and was seen just moments before heavily breathing. I will miss him..

Moon born June 1999 died April 24th 2010.
