Little Brown Jug #9 is a half-gallon Nalgene container, one of a triad placed in the Skokie Lagoons area.
This is an interesting area of the Skokie Lagoons and you may see some evidence of man's impact on the environment. Depending on your approach, you may pass some well used fishing spots and, unfortunately, the flotsam and garbage left behind by the fishermen. Using another approach you may see ramps and jumps installed and used by trail bikers. Our feeling when we saw these was: "Do their mothers know what they're doing out here?"
You have a good chance of seeing deer in these woods but we hope you don't see any ticks or cougars. Whatever you see out there we hope you enjoy your walk in the woods.
