Geocache Description:

Congrats to the 7Searchers for the FTF!!
This is a kid friendly cache in a fun park between 3rd and 4th Streets, West of Philadelphia Ave. The park has a great playground, baseball fields, a cool skatepark, and a nice memorial garden. Take a minute to read some of the names on the plaques near the large trees to honor those who have served and represent Ocean City, MD. There is no need to trudge thru the garden. Read the clue and tread lightly.

This cache honors multiple generations of family fun in downtown OC, MD. There is a lot to see and do in OC, especially on the Boardwalk.

The OC Boardwalk is a special place to my family. My Grandfather took my Dad and his siblings there when he was a kid, my Dad took me and my sister there when we were kids, and now my wife and I take our kids there (my Dad, Poppy to our kids, is usually there with us too!).

There is nothing like an afternoon inside the wonderfully noisy arcades and riding the amusement rides, followed by tasty treats on the boardwalk.

The cache will originally be stuffed with the goodies that we pulled out of the arcade claw machines when we were there for Easter of 2008. It has sort of become an Easter tradition in our family to go to Bethany Beach and visit the OC Boardwalk. Please try to keep the contents kid friendly to go with the youthful spirit that lives among the OC Boardwalk.

After finding this cache, why not head to the OC Boardwalk, it is just a few blocks east. If you are planning a trip to Ocean City and are reading this while scouting caches, be sure to make time to visit the OC Boardwalk. You will not be disappointed. If you have been there before please feel free to share your thoughts and memories in the logs. We would also love to see some pictures of you at the OC Boardwalk!

This cache was originally named "Marty's Playland" so that is what is written on the outside of the container and on the log book. Sorry for the confusion. We will fix it next time we perform maintenance.
