Easy drive - accessible by bike, car, or what have you. Not far off main highway.
This cache was placed at the request of our 8-year old grandson, Jacob. He is very enthusiastic in learning about our military in history and feels other people should appreciate the men & women who serve. While here, please do Jacob a favor and read the plaque dedicated in memorium to the 390th Bomb Group. They trained heavy bombers here (B-17's) The trained crews flew missions over Europe from August 1943 to May 1945.
They flew, they fought, they gave their lives - a man can do no more for his country.
