With the long and snowy winter, who hasn't been hoping for spring?
And Waterbury's Hope Cemetery was just begging for a cache.
Since there is a "No Pets" sign posted at the entrance to the
cemetery, I had to give this cache the appropriate attribute,
although I did see a family walking their dog here. However, your
dog may visit the final with you, as this is not on cemetery
property, and you may walk along the far end of the cemetery to get
to the final with minimal bushwhacking.
The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates, but they are a good
place to park while you tour the cemetery and get the info you need
to find the final goodies. They are located at
N 44°20.ABC W 72°45.DEF
You can get A, B, C, D, E, F, by visiting the tombstones below.
- At N 44°20.220 W 72°45.654, let A be the last digit of
Hubert Coffrin's death.
- At N 44°20.192 W 72°45.656, let B be the number of
letters in the last name of the baby memorialized here.
- At N 44°20.232 W 72°45.506, you will find a tombstone bearing a
last name similar to that of a well-known fictional girl detective.
Subtract 4 from the number of letters in this name, and let this be
C.
- At N 44°20.248 W 72°45.564, let D be the last digit of
the date of Cynthia Murray's death.
- At N 44°20.261 W 72°45.479, let E be the number of
letters in Ms. Mandana's last name.
- At N 44° 20.273 W 72°45.472, let F be the number of
names on the side of the crypt.
Now that you have the numbers you need, you may go to the final.
Have fun!
Congrats to RSAKVT, who got his second FTF prize of the evening,
a copy of the GMC Long Trail map.
