All along the Chilliwack Vedder River
system there are fantastic fishing spots, starting just below the
Hatchery at the "Limit Hole" downstream all the way to the rivers
entrance into the Fraser River.
These fishing spots have changed over
the years, some that were great producers of Salmon and Steelhead
now are non existent as flood waters have changed the course of the
river and filled in spots that once were deep fish producing holes,
as old ones disappear, new ones are born, it is a constant search
for these new spots.
Some great fishing holes because of
their location in the river have not changed over the years and are
consistently good fish producing spots, This cache is located
at/near such a spot so be sure to bring your rod and test the
waters, or if you are not into fishing bring a good inner tube,
life jacket and put in at Slesse Bridge and float down the river,
great fun I can assure you.

The cache has been changed and is now a
small Lock n Lock, with a logbook, and pencil. The co-ordinates
will bring you to a large, rather oddly shaped Cedar tree, odd
because of the way it has grown out then up. It is not necessary to
remove any of the trees bark in order to find the cache, please
replace the cache as you found it.
Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy some
time on the rivers edge. The cache is well above any high water
levels, so should be accessible at all times.
