A lakeside cache. You must go down steps or a steep trail to get to it.
The cache is hidden on the nature trail along the shore of Lake Menomin. The trail is a hike down along a dirt ramp or stairs (by the Waterfront bar), thus the higher 'terrain' rating.
The cache is a green plastic pill container with a white cap. There is a paper strip for a log. You will need to bring your own pencil...be prepared.
This is not a winter friendly cache.
Lakeside cache is on a nature trail. Take some time to visit here before the lake goes green in mid-summer. There are benches to sit and watch the ski club or boaters. If you get there early enough to claim a space, it is a nice spot to watch the Independence Day fireworks over the lake.
Since this area gets a lot of debris from wind blowing from the street above (and careless walkers) please consider picking up at least one piece of trash and dispose of it properly.
