A walk or bike ride along a very pleasant path.
Members of the Heidelberg School of Artists lived and often worked close to here in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The given co-ordinates will have you standing in front of a painting (not the original) which was painted close here. There are a number more along the path to the south of here. These are part of the Heidelberg School of Artists Trail. A map of the trail can be viewed on the back side of some of the boards.
The date of the painting is a,b,c,d.
Go to Lat 37 46.(c/2)(a+b)(b) Long 145 04.aa(a+b)
You should be standing in front of ‘Charterisville near Eaglemont’ which was painted in year e,f,g,h.
Go to Lat 37 46.hh(g/3) Long 145 04.(2xe)f(f/4)
You are now standing in front of the last painting to complete this cache hunt which was painted in year i,j,k,l.
Go i+j+k+l+4 metres to the NNE(magnetic) and you should be able to find the cache hidden in a common type of cache hide.
Do stop to study the painting you pass that are not included in the arithmetic.
It will be about a 4 km walk or ride along a lovely section of the Main Yarra Trail to get back to the car park.
